Pecha Kucha

Pecha Kucha is the Japanese term for chit chat.  It is a PowerPoint presentation that consists of twenty slides, twenty seconds each.  It was created to help people minimize long speeches and intricate presentations.  Having this time limit provides the presenter with enough time to pace themselves without becoming a boring presenter.  People like to use Pecha Kucha because it allows the presenter the ability to connect with their audience without over whelming them a lot of information.  If used correctly the author should have less words and more image.  Like I mentioned in a previous blog, the purpose of a PowerPoint should be used as an outline, so to say, that provides the presenter with enough information where they are able to refer to the PowerPoint for guidance.
