My Thoughts About Wikipedia

Wikipedia in my opinion is a good website but only if your in a hurry and just need to get the gist of an information quickly.  It is not a good source to use if your conducting a research paper or doing something for class or work; anything that requires work to be cited.  Wikipedia is a website that allows anyone permission to go in and change or add information.  That is why the site is biased because anyone can access it.  Electronic media has changed the way we as people receive/contain knowledge because it has given us the opportunity to google the information instead of reading it ourselves.  It has given us the opportunity to use someone else's ideas and turn them into our own as long as we cite the resource.  Electronic media has changed the way we gain our knowledge by instead of having to hand write material, we can copy and paste.  By doing so i feel as if we are not gaining the connection with the information that is needed in order to completely understand what knowledge we are seeking.  So media has really effected the way we process knowledge.
